She performed the title role of Lucia in Prague State Opera&#8217;s production of&nbsp;<em>Lucia di<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Lammermoor<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary-Jean made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall, London, singing the \u201cQueen of the Night\u2019s vengeance aria\u201d in Raymond Gubbay&#8217;s Classical Spectacular concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary-Jean won first prize in the 2013 Paris Opera Awards, performing Lakme\u2019s Bell Song in the Salle Gaveau with orchestra,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May 2015 Mary-Jean represented Armenia as part of the group Genealogy at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019 Mary-Jean performed the role of the Italian Princess in London Armenian Opera\u2019s production of Stepanian\u2019s Kaj Nazar.&nbsp; She also sang as the soprano soloist for Rossini\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Stabat Mater<\/em>&nbsp;in Llandaff Cathedral, Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary-Jean has also performed roles with English National Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, Tiroler Festpiele Erl, and Teatro Communale Bolzano.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mary-Jean O\u2019Doherty was the first recipient of the Australian International Opera Award to study at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice in Wales. &nbsp;Mary-Jean has performed the roles of Naiad and Zerbinetta in&nbsp;Ariadne auf Naxos&nbsp;for Welsh National Opera.
